INDONESIAN CONSULATE GENERAL IN LOS ANGELES (INTERIOR DESIGN & BUILD)

Located in the infamous auto-row in the Art Deco district of Los Angeles, the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia reemerges from underutilized building into a highly performing offerings of cultural diversity. 

Partnering with local general contractor Paul Sheene Corporation, Terra Lumen leads a diverse design, engineering, construction management, and builder for the app. 30,000 sq. ft. 5-story building highlighting the transformation of an Art Deco building with California coastal design and Indonesian culture sensitivity.

Formulate Cultural Expressions Throughout

From Nusantara, displaying the breadth of spatial experiences from Sabang to Merauke, to upper floors showcasing Biodiversity Wall, National Parks, Endangered Species, and the Coastal Regions, the spatial narrative fluidly presented within California coastal design and Indonesia's tropical sensibility.

Artwork is Part and Partial of the Entire Building Experience

Incorporating artwork throughout the building, the design/build tenant improvement or interior upgrade provided an opportunity to bring about contemporary interpretation of Indonesia's artwork to today's experience.
